Ladies who Levis

The Easter holidays are approaching, not only am i lusting for some sun, but also some new new threads. This time last year, a fab friend and i seemed to indulge in a new summer habit; Lunching in the Laines followed by a leisurely Levis splurge.

I was too young to appreciate my first super soft, pale demin, pearl button, long sleeve demin shirt. After smearing Boots' ''Glitter Babes'' lipstick carelessly over the cuffs and gradually shoving it to the back of my wardrobe, I barely even missed it until the day I received my second and most beloved denim shirt. Soft demin with embroidered cowboy boots from Gordon James. This is my warbrobe fave. my baby. I've had it for 5 years now... Worn buttoned to the top with my gorgeous Harley Davidson boots, worn undone with summer sandals and cheeky yellow crochet shorts, over a glam bodycon tiedye dress, with jeans and high tops or over a bikini at the beach. This shirt really is the definition of versatile.

On the hunt for a roughed up second hand over sized demin jacket, I stumbled across a mid-blue Levis sleeveless mens shirt. For a barain tenner. This has become my new going out dress. Debut appearence at Drake, worn top two buttons done up, black body con dress, crucifix necklace, frilly socks and HD boots and daaaark deep purple lips. Next outing, Mosca at Life. this night still gives me thrills. Same top two buttons. Same body con. Same socks, but with leopard print wedges and a cheeeky Vivienne Westwood orb on the collar.

Even though I no longer reside at the sunny seaside, I cant wait to explore what potential habits RTW has to offer...This summer im going for chic over street, which I know will be oozing from this designer dripping town.

Popping Candy

I'm never usually a neon, but this season spares sumptuous exceptions. The popping brights have clambered up the style ladder and earnt a prestigious place amongst my garms, sitting both lavishy and comfortably.
Ciate nails eased me into the trend with a warm welcome of tangerines, limes and lemons.  Speed Dial 023, Big Yellow Taxi and Mohtio mixed with an aztec monochrome midi released my initial acceptance, swiftly followed for the need of this fluro number. (orange knit) Post Somerset House Street papping lead me to dive into the depths of swift fashion...yes Oxford Street. Zara, Topshop, Forever 21 and a few glossy mags later, i found myself eyeing up everything electric. Neon necklaces and acrylic box bags introduced the season with a reminder that their is a spring glow reluctantly awakening despite the frost and snow. The tangerine cosy has already revived and alerted a stir of style and allowed me to go back to garms id stuffed to the darks and depths of my wardrobe - featured here with a Zara stud collar shirt, disco pants, Ebay-envy-bargain-Bowler and my trusty cropped studded cowboys from a trip across the pond to the fabulous NYC. A touch of luxe with my Mulberry purse, Michael Kors watch and classic Wayfarers (orignals borrowed from my Modfather!)
I cant wait to team this bright with my fave cow boy embroidered denim shirt, or with my new powder blue oriental-lace Topshop skinny cigarette trousers for some popping candy action!

London Fashion Week AW13/14

Oh hey there strangers!

The summer sun has popped to Oz in my online absence and by the look of things has found a cosy patch amongst the clouds to cotch.

SS13 fashion weeks have been and gone and Paris Fashion Week AW13/14 is about to commence, so what a better way to get back into blogging than with a cheeky LFW post!

My glam fashionista friend, Hayley aka Frock Me Im Famous, introduced me to world beyond the rhelms of chic and street. Somerset House boasted cobbles clad with fashionistas from all corners of Style. Beautiful Lords and Ladies of the fashion world strutted about stopping to be papped by photographers, bloggers, trend hunters and students, before prancing off to the exhibition and activities held on the courtyard.
LFW was the perfect opportunity to collect street style images for my Final Manor Project, with a focus on Asian Sensations who were showing London how its done...

Monday 18th Feb

 Tuesday 19th Feb

Me!

(Versace collar, More&More faux fur, Fiorelli faux-python handbag, Harley Davidson authentic biker boots, Topshop aviator jacket, chiffon maxi from Brighton Laines)

The thing with LFW is that no matter how long you pan your outfit, how much or how little you spend, or how 'en trend' your outfit is, you will arrive at the arches of Somerset House feeling belittled and left gawping at how utterly stunning the people around you are...
